The cherry tree orchard is cultivated in a super-intensive system with varieties yielding a superior quality of fruit production by surface unit, with maximum optimization in the use of the land. The entire cherry plantation has fertigation system and is covered with anti hail system, 10 hectares have anti rain protection.

The cherry tree plantation covers 14 hectares at this moment. We planted the following varieties : Burlat, Summit, Merchant, Kordia, Karina, Regina. In the spring of 2020 we will be ready to plant 5 more hectares. The fruits have a special taste, with flavour and aspect specific to each variety.

The benefits of Cherry consumption

Due to high content of nutrients cherries are considered a super-fruit. Because of their low carbohydrate content and low glycemic index they are one of the healthiest foods to be added to the diet. Cherries contain vitamins like A, C, E, PP, K, B1, B2, B6, beta-carotene. They also contain minerals like chlorine, sodium, potassium, magnesium and finally they are rich in antioxidants and active substances. High contents of water and low levels of sodium make cherries are a good agent for body detoxification. Cherries are rich in antioxidants by having anti-cancer properties. The darker the colour of these fruits the more antioxidants, minerals and vitamins it contains, offering therapeutic benefits to health. Cherries maintain the brain healthy and prevent memory loss. Cherries are a natural soporific being a natural source of melatonin. Melatonin is the hormone that controls the body’s internal clock to regulate sleep. These fruit alleviate muscular pain by reducing swelling caused by inflammation from arthritis and gout. One has to keep a diet of cherries for at least three weeks to make it effective. The therapeutic dose should be comprised between 600 grams and 1 kilogram a day.
